Peter Rushton Maverick was a New York City-based engraver and silversmith active in the late 18th century and early 19th century. Maverick was the patriarch of a family of New York engravers, with their shop located at 65 Liberty Street. He engraved bookplates, broadsides and occasional portraits, as well as banknotes.
