Walter Francis Brown

Walter Francis Brown was born in Providence, Rhode Island. He was a painter and illustrator. He graduated from Brown University in 1873 and studied in Paris, France. He was a member of the Providence Art Club. He illustrated A Tramp Abroad by Mark Twain and Roger Williams by Charles Miller. Scenes of Venice, his adopted home, were his specialty. He died in Venice in 1929.
