In the 1920s and 1930s the French engraver Raoul Varin produced a variety of prints of New York City and Chicago views. They were printed by the British publishing firm A. Ackerman & Son with offices in Paris, Chicago and New York. These images are well known for their historical content and for their beautiful execution.
