Bernd Steiner

Steiner was an officer in the Austro-Hungarian army during World War I. He was for a time the art director for Bremen’s City Theater and in 1919 began doing posters for Motor magazine. By the late 1920s he was doing posters for the North German Lloyd steamship company and teaching art. He returned to Austria, and died in Vienna at age 49.
