Marion Bourke

Ms. Bourke was born in Manhattan in 1883 to Edward Bourke and Fraunces Powell. She was the granddaughter of Captain John H. Powell of New York. She studied at Pratt Institute and would work as a woman artist and designer of notecards for Norcross Greeting Card Co. in Manhattan and Milner Bros. Card Co. in Brooklyn, New York. She also worked freelance painting designs to be produced on ceramic dishes.
