Vialon came to Bremen in 1935 and was one of the few woman photographers to succeed in the male-dominated field. At that time she also portrayed Bremen and its people. She always remained in the background throughout her life. For decades she was Radio Bremen's photographer, but she also undertook work with a wide range of other Bremen enterprises and organizations. Between 1957 and 1959, she also produced a collection of photographs of the extensive refit and trials phase for the newly acquired by North German Lloyd liner SS Bremen (previously SS Pasteur).
