Melton Prior

Melton Prior was a draughtsman illustrator and a war correspondent. He was born in London and studied with his father, the landscape painter and draughtsman, William Henry Prior (1812-1882). Melton worked throughout his career for the Illustrated London News as their first war correspondent. His final assignment was the Russo-Japanese War in 1904.
