Mason Jackson

London-based wood engraver, who was trained as an engraver by his brother, John Jackson (1801-1848). He engraved plates for the Illustrated London News where he was appointed art editor of the Illustrated London News in 1860. He wrote a history of the rise and progress of illustrated journalism.
